Pyaaz and aam(mango) ki chutney is a summer recipe that is frequently made in my household.
Summer season is all about drinking fresh and yummy drinks, having delicious mangoes in different forms like mango milkshake, mango lassi, mango salad, and trying different chutneys. My mom makes this chutney almost every day. It’s super yummy and takes only 5-10 minutes. Also, you gotta love a chutney that comes together without much effort or without any cooking on the stovetop.
If you do not have a blender or mixer, just grate onion and mango and mix all the ingredients. I make it both ways so we can savor the flavor in different ways.
Method:
- Gather all the ingredients. Wash them and chop them roughly.

2. Put all the ingredients in a mixer and blend. Add some salt. Put some sugar if mangoes are sour. I left out the sugar in this recipe as the mangoes were mildly sweet. Don’t be too worried about the raw onions, as the sourness from the mangoes kind of cures it and mellows it down.

3. Blend until desired consistency is reached. Transfer to a serving bowl.
Some people like big chunks of onion in chutneys. In that case, just blend a little and do not make a smooth paste.

4. Serve with roti, paratha, lentils or kulcha. Save the leftover chutney in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use it within 2-3 days.
