Welcome to The Daily Flavor by Ashu!
The Daily Flavor is a vegetarian food blog with a focus on healthy, quick, affordable, and delectable recipes that I can’t wait to share them with you!
I am a millennial, back in Colorado (from Amsterdam, Netherlands) with my husband. We lived in Colorado for 7 years and then explored Europe for a year and now back again to our lovely place. I am a computer engineer by education; a regular IT gal who has a full-time job in the corporate world. Traveling, cooking, photographing, and writing this blog is my passion that I absolutely love doing outside of my job. Check out our travel stories on insta @aglimpsethrumylens.
My husband and I are foodies and love to explore new dishes while spending time away from our IT world. We believe that variety is the spice of life. Not only is he fond of eating, but also loves to try out all the recipes. Sometimes, I experiment with the weirdest food combinations, which somehow turn super delicious! Yummilicious!. And sometimes, it’s a disaster and we both laugh about it.
My recipes are mostly healthy, use minimally processed ingredients (all of which you can find at an average grocery store), and focus on incorporating multiple essential food groups like fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and whole grains.
I launched The Daily Flavor with the vision of sharing recipes that are easy-to-follow, from scratch that is inspired by seasonal favorites, my travels, and the cherished recipes that have been passed down to me by elders. I’m tirelessly dedicated to providing well-tested recipes. Like every novice home cook, I have made my fair share of mistakes in the kitchen. However, before I post a new recipe, you can feel confident that I have already tested it in my kitchen and worked out the mistakes so you don’t have to.
All creations, content, and photography are my own unless otherwise noted.
And lastly, before I go, be ready to have some fun, and be sure to get yourself into this scene! I highly encourage comments and questions here. If you try one of my recipes, I’d love to hear your feedback. Please come back, leave a comment, and rate it. Your input helps others! I’m thankful you are here.
Please don’t be shy about reaching out and sending me an email anytime! You can reach me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
