A simple, quick, and incredibly tasty dairy free thick smoothie that’s made with coconut water.
I really love smoothies in my breakfast. If you haven’t tried papaya in your smoothies before then I highly recommend whipping it up next time. I love papaya in every season. If you’re fortunate enough to live in a country with much diversity, then you should be able to procure them at your leisure.
Papaya and Pineapple is a great combination. Also, if you haven’t tried fresh Mint in your smoothies before…you are missing out. It’s fresh and zesty and very very YUM.
This smoothie is very quick and easy to make. Gather the ingredients and whip it up. Feel free to add honey or maple syrup as a sweetener but it’s really not required as pineapple fulfills the purpose. Add chia seeds or any nuts of your choice on top of it and Enjoy!!
WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS SMOOTHIE
- Perfect for breakfast
- Takes less than 5 minutes to make
- Great option for a delicious meal replacement
- Tastes darn awesome
How to make a Papaya Pineapple Smoothie without yogurt or milk
Most smoothies use either yogurt or juice and ice as a base to make it creamy. You don’t have to choose one or the other though. Juice spikes up the fruit sugar content unnecessarily so I always try and stay away from smoothies based on juice.
Yogurt is a great source of protein if you don’t have any dairy tolerance issues. If you do, however, you don’t have to go for the juice option. There are other ways too. You can use coconut milk for example to obtain that “creamy” texture and flavor. Sometimes, I use light coconut milk for my smoothies so they don’t sit in my stomach too heavy.
If you don’t like the creamy taste of smoothies and rather the freshness of fruits. You can simply replace “milk” (whatever kind that might be) by water. You can replace not only milk but also yogurt with simply water or coconut water as per your choice.Print
